First of all, according to the EPA and Coast Guard, no bacteria product was allowed to be used in the cleanup. Nutrients were introduced to help feed the natural bacteria that existed there prior to the spill. Besides, unless you are dumping only crude oil into your septic system, what good would this company's product be for your septic system? Are you associated with Krane products? No. Krane is out of business. Many of their previous customers have "converted" to FLUSH-ITŪ Septic Energizer. Our product is superior and our customer service is unbeatable. We also hold your privacy sacred. Will I have to pump my septic tank if I use FLUSH-ITŪ Septic Energizer? Your septic tank will need to be pumped periodically no matter whose product you use. You might be able to reduce the frequency but you can not eliminate pumping completely. Anyone telling you differently is lying or ignorant. Does FLUSH-ITŪ Septic Energizer have a shelf life? Our "vegetative" bacteria is much more versatile and efficient than ordinary "spore" bacteria. Vegetative bacteria has a half-life of 2 years. This means that after 2 years, half the bacteria have expired. After another 2 years, half of the remaining half expire. This means that 25% of the original number are viable (alive) after 4 years. Our bacterial counts (CFUs - colony forming units) are extremely high to begin with, but we believe a 2 year supply should be the maximum purchase unless you have more than one location or plan to share with family and friends. If FLUSH-ITŪ is so great how come it is so much cheaper than other products? We believe in offering the best possible product at a fair price. We are not out to gouge the consumer or rape the public. Our goal is to form long lasting relationships, not make a quick buck. We will not take the money and run. Many of our clients are still with us since 1992 and we aim to keep it that way. How do you ship FLUSH-ITŪ Septic Energizer? We ship 6-packs and-12 packs by First Class Mail. 24 packs (actually two 12-packs) are shipped by Priority Mail. It is very important that we have your mailing address. By the way, we pay the shipping and there are no handling charges. Will the package fit in my mail box? Our 24-pack is shipped in a USPS Priority Mail Video Cassette Box - 8 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 1 3/4 inches. Why can't you ship FLUSH-ITŪ Septic Energizer outside the United States? Bacteria are classified as living entities, like plants and animals. Special permits and inspections are required for any live animal or plant to enter a country. Although our bacteria are naturally occurring (NOT genetically modified), they might not be naturally occurring in other countries. FLUSH-ITŪ Septic Energizer could be shipped to other countries if the required permits, inspections, and fees are obtained. This would be very costly and time consuming for each order. Hawaii considers our bacteria "foreign" and requires as much red tape as Canada and some other countries. FLUSH-ITŪ is available in Australia and The Cook Islands - see below. We have had no problems shipping to Mexico.
